Channel 7’s rugby union commentator and former Wallaby Dan Crowley officially launched QRUSA’s Tama Samoa Calendar 2004 at their Samoa Day @ Rugby, South’s Rugby Club, Annerley, Saturday 27th September 2003.

Lauded as their major fundraising project for the year, the calendar is a colorful blend of tamas in lavalavas photographed in lush picturesque surroundings.
Containing 12 pages, it was originally intended to be mischievous and provocative. A QRUSA source said ‘it has been toned down to its present stage so as not to offend the traditionalists in the Community. Several measures were used to persuade the lads to go half Monty for the cause, ‘Supporting Community Rugby. Avenues engaged included bribery and treating and some water works!”
There is however an effort to be saucy on one page which would probably leave the non-traditionalists wanting!
Tama Samoa Calendar 2004 has been distributed to various stores around Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne and some have left the shores for Auckland.
