In one course at the University of Washington I was taught that Polynesian people were the result of explorers from Ancient Africa that came from the seagoing traders of great African civilizations that explored the pacific and Indian Oceans...the lanquages of the East African people such as Swahili tend to have a similar phonetic flow...Africa is the origin of man not Asia and so it stands to reason that the origins of Polynesian people come from Africa not Asia...even the Polynesian people themselves acknowledge African roots...not simply Asian.
