For your info - samoans eat chicken, fish, pigs, pisupo(corned beef), fee (octopus), tugane (shell fish), etc, for protein, and taros (uderground root), bananas, and breadfruit for carbohydrates. For veggie, they like palusami (taro leaves mixed with coconut milk).
In American Samoa, they used the U.S currency and Western Samoa has its own currency (WSTala, W. Samoa Dollar) Currently 1WST equalled to U.S .33 or 33 cents. Samoans favorite leisure is to make love, and for older generation is played Bingo. American Samoa is preparing for Election of its Governor and Delegate to Congress in 2004. Everybody is guessing who will be the candidates, Samoan politics is far different from the USA
