Well, as far as I can see it here in Apia, the muslims here are fairly well integrated and there is no 'fight' at all whatsoever. The leader of the small muslim community, a Samoan who converted to Islam while being overseas (like most of the other muslims here), was invited to TV discussions some times after the 0911-incidents. He explained that Islam is totally against such kind of actions, that the terrorists misuse the muslim faith to justify their actions, that, of course, all muslims in Samoa strongly oppose this. The leader of the Christian churches at the same TV discussions openly shared and confirmed that point of view and stressed out that the muslim community in Samoa is a good neighbour to them and even though their beliefs are different from the Christian one, they are still founded in God as well. I wish that this much tolerance would prevail everywhere in the world and among some Christian denominations as well ...
