Yeah...there are some rotten mangoes amongst the pile. I have had my share of rude treatment by check-out operators and by government employees, but I also have been treated very well by others. But we should also look at this from the other side of the coin, some customers are also quite rude to the service people. I think this is something the Visitors Bureau and other relevant govt depts should be looking into as well as the Busniess Community (Private Sector). They should have courses or training on how to better serve the public, let alone how to answer the phone. There is only one thing that I would omit from your post - the part about being 'not civilised ppl'. I think most (if not all) Samoans are civilised ppl. Its just some needs to be reminded.
