Samoans don't acknowledge any country of their origin...Samoans are from Samoa...there has been a recent push from Tongan historians to change Polynesian history...let them, Samoans don't care...everybody knows the dispersal point to western Polynesia is Savaii...the discovery is just that, a lapita discovery...there is nothing in it to suggest Samoans came from Tonga...
