Hi, my name is Lealoioleafifitifiti, shortened for Aloiafi. I think that's a lot better, anyways, I live in Utah with my family. My mother was a Sapolu, Her name was Aiotaua Sapolu, she passed away in 1991 at N.Z. I have the Geneology of our family.(Sapolu). This is what I know. Sapolu real last name is Mataia. He was a missionary in Elise. Then he ended up being a Governor in the island. That's why he had a lot of money, when he returned back to Samoa he bought those lands, & changed his name to Sapolu Sapolu, 'cos he didn't want his brothers of sisters to have anything with the lands, only his children & children of his children & so forth. He put it in papers so his chldren would understand how it goes. My grandfather was Lafika Sapolu & he had a sister named after the island, Elise a.k.a Lise. None of Sapolu & Katalaina's children were born in Samoa. They were all born In Elise.
Well, I wish we can all get together & form up a reunion here in the States, so our children can meet & get to know their roots. Well, good luck with the family & all. May God always bless any Sapolu around the world. I do proud of our family.
