BULLSHET look at the geography idiot, Tonga is closer to Fiji than Samoa, The Lapita pottery trail goes into Tonga first before Samoa by way of Fiji according to carbon dating. The Polynesian cultral Center says the following: Historical and comparative linguists have basically determined related languages descended from the same "family" tend to get simpler as time goes by; or for example, younger languages in the same family might have fewer sounds. In this respect, modern Tongan has more phonological sounds than Samoan, but not as many as Fijian, prompting such linguists to theorize that Tongan is probably older than Samoan but not as old as Fijian. If the Tongan language is older than Samoan & the lapita pottery is carbon dated older in Tonga than Samoa, than Tonga is the cradle of Polynesia and not Samoa!!!
